We miss you, too!!!! Why was Saturday crazy, like crazy fun, or crazy, crazy?
I am going to post a couple of easy recipes for you for Thanksgiving.
For this first one, you can use any fresh vegetable of your choice. #1 Roasted Vegetables
Butternut Squash or any vegetable such as asparagus, green beans, potatoes Cut into fairly small pieces. Put on a baking sheet. Sprinkle on olive oil. Sprinkle on herbs, such as Thyme, Rosemary, or anything you choose, and salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, until vegetable are tender. You can check on it, so it won't burn.

Green Beans with Carmelized Onions
green beans 1 onion
Cook green beans with salt. Slice onion. Cook onion in a little oil, until brown and carmelized. Add onion to cooked and drained green beans.

Mashed Potatoes
Potatoes Sour cream Cream cheese Chives Salt Pepper
Peel and cut potatoes. Cook until tender. Drain. Cut chives into small pieces. Mash potatoes. Add sour cream, cream cheese, and chives, salt, and pepper. If it is too thick, add milk or cream.
I hope you and the foreign-exchange students have fun cooking an American traditional meal. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!
With Aunt Sheila's help, you will make a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. How are plans coming along, and how many will be there? Will it be at your house? I think your host family will enjoy it as much as you do!!
