Day 308.

Sandra left today. We were up at 04.00 to catch a bus to meet her. She had 7 kilos she couldn't take from one bag, plus she had another bag that she asked if I could send in the mail to her. This weekend was great. Goodbyes for good were hard though. And I was able to go to meeting.

Love to all,

Day 303.

Hahahha. 3OH!3. lol

Headed to Kongsvinger today to see one of the other exchange students. No school because we have a strike. And the trip is free, so I figured, why not? Funny thing is, I'll be on the bus longer than I will be in Kongsvinger, but it will be nice to see him again.
Other than that, nothing new. I will try to post pictures from my trip to Brevik and also from last weekend when we went to the West Coast and got to see the Fjords. Possibly tomorrow, possibly not.

Anyways,
Mye kjærlighet til alle.
Love,
Emilyy Ann

Day 302.

Hmmm, where to begin. Sorry, it has been so long since I have updated...I just kind of forgot about my blog. Time has begun to fly, and people have begun to leave. The first ones to leave left last Sunday. So that has been a little hard. Saying "goodbye" really isn't a specialty of mine, but I have tried to see those I can off at the airport. It's quite hard though. I suppose I will update about Eurotour, just a little summary with a few pictures of where we went and everything.

Boat from Sweden to Germany
Originally the plan had been to take a plane from Oslo to Berlin, where we would spend 3 days and 2 nights. The plans changed a little though, when the volcano in Iceland started emitting smoke and ash, and majority of the airlines shut down, and planes were grounded for quite a while. We ended up meeting in Oslo, taking a bus down to the coast of Sweden, and then from there we took an overnight boat ride to Germany. It was quite cold, but very much fun! We docked in Germany at 09.00am. The pictures are #1: Charles and Camila on the top of the boat at sunset. #2: Sara on top of a coke machine on the top of the boat. #3: Henry standing on the side of the top of the boat (if he would have fallen he would have fallen about 5 meters or so and landed straight in the water.) #6: An island off the coast of Germany.
Berlin, Germany
We arrived in Germany around 16.00. We had a small, quick, 2-hour tour around Berlin. This picture is of the Berlin Wall. The tour guide was American, but had lived in Germany for quite a few years. He was very muchly unpolitically correct, but very informative none-the-less. We were able to see the gate that seperated East and West Germany, and where the wall once stood.

Dresden, Germany
Dresden was BEAUTIFUL, we were only there for a day, but it was AMAZING. The sun was shining, and everything was green. The food was pretty good as well. The second picture below is of a man who stood like that for money, he didn't move or anything. It was cool.

Praha, Czech Republic
By far, Praha was the most amazing place. It looked all the same though. We spent three days and two nights there. I actually think the best nights of my life were probably in Praha. We all got to hang out and have fun. The food below is actually majority of what we ate. We had pomfri and Snitzle majority of the time. I think out of all the meals we ate we only had 4 other different things. But it was okay. We were all together having the times of our lives, so it didn't really matter what we were eating. That and we were able to buy food while we traveled on the bus (which is where most of my money went to, food and clothes.)

Vienna, Austria
We stopped at the Czech-Austrian border. We were there to shop and eat dinner. That is where I lost my phone. :( Anyways, Vienna was a gorgeous city. Actually everywhere we went was gorgeous, so many statues and gorgeous buildings, it was breath taking.

Salzburg, Austria
Salzburg, Salzburg, Salzburg. Hahah. We were supposed to go see a musical that night, (The Sound of Music) So we all got dressed up, and went out to eat. And when we got to the restraunt, there was a stage by our tables. And there we got to witness, The Sound of Salzburg, which was four people acting out The Sound of Music. I don't think I had laughed that hard in a really long time. It was quite funny. Dinner was pancake soup.

Lido de Jesolo, Italy
We stayed the nights in Lido. I think that Lido had the best hostel that we stayed in. We were a 2 minute walk from the beach. It was amazing, and at the nights, we would go out and listen to the waves on the beach. We danced and listened to music on the docks, and swam when we felt like it, it was really amazing though.

Venice, Italy
Venice was AMAZING. We were only there for a day, and had only 3 hours free to roam around, but it was amazing. We took a gondola ride. It was short, and expensive, but a once in a life time thing. The churches were amazing as well.

Lyon, France
We were only in Lyon for a night, and some of these pictures aren't from Lyon, but still. We arrived around 21.00 and left at 08.00 the next morning, or so.

Paris, France
Paris was amazing as well. We were able to walk the city at night, and experience that. The Eiffle Tower was amazing, as well as the Lourve, where the Mona Lisa is kept.

London, England
The boat from France to England was TERRIBLE, everyone was already sick, so it made matters worse. We all survived though, and got to London on time to have a short tour, and see the changing of the guards. That was really awesome.
By the end of Eurotour, everyone had either lost their voice, was throwing up, had a fever, sorethroat, or had been throwing up. Thankfully I only had a soar throat and lost my voice for the first 3 days of it. Over all, it has for sure set the standard for time of my life. And so far, has been the best 2 weeks of my life. All of the exchange students got closer, and we all became family. Some we loved more than others.
But that is all for now. Sorry for it being so short.
My love to all. xoxo :*
Love,
Emilyy
