hmm 12.16 am. Friday Night/Saturday Morning, and im on facebook. i really need to learn Norwegian i think, and make some friends. haha.
so going to Oslo at 9.30 or so today, so that will be really fun, and im excited for that.
hmm maybe i can make this one a little longer since all of my other ones are about the size of my Norwegian vocabulary. haha.
Oh, and this one is about my memories, not my life here in Norway...sorry.
I realized the other day that i have forgotten some of the things at home. I dont remember exactly where the piano is, or how the kitchen is set up, but i do remember the way that the picture of Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Heidi is always crooked over the light switch in the halway, and the way that the pantry doors looked at night when i came home from being with all of the friends at the park, or playing GH.
It is quite funny the things that i do remember.
I can remember the day that we all drove to Happy to help Uncle Joe and Aunt Anna clean up the place after the storm, and listening to "Dont Stop Believing" and singing at the top of our lungs.
I remember the way the windmill and the tree looked like a perfect picture when driving down the Bassetts road, and seeing their house.
I remember sitting at Uncle Joe and Aunt Annas bar in the kitchen and eating cereal at night, and walking through the livingroom, and Uncle Joe was in his chair, and Aunt Anna was in hers. and cleaning to top windows for preps. I remember sitting in the kitchen at preps, and sorting beans, and Joyce talking and singing with us.
I remember spending the night at Grandmas house, and eating fish sticks!
I remember one holiday at Aunt Sheila and Uncle Jimmy's and Ty made these tree shaped stuffed bell pepper things.
I can remember the way the sun set looked driving home from Bassetts and singing to "Pictures of You" and the time we drove to Wal-Mart just to get hair dye.
I remember the way the upstairs room is at Hoot n Hollow, or Hollar...whatever.
And walking with Rebecca to Wal-Mart from Barnes&Nobel, and stopping at Braums to get a cup of ice.
I remember sitting in the tent at Mt. Peak in 2007, and putting on three pairs of socks and boots, and wearing my pjs under my skirt to breakfast because it was so cold.
I remember the way that we all sat at Grandpa and Grandmas house at the table.
I remember sometimes walking in the house after doing something, and Mom would ask what i had done or if i had fun, and i would just kinda answer quickly and go to bed (sorry about that Mom)
I remember driving all the way to Waco, and we ended up just sitting there playing Sims.
I remember driving in Aimees truck singing to Jason Mraz, and Aimee looking at me in shock and telling me that was the first time she had ever heard me sing pretty. (that was not an insult either)
And then going to ihop, and ordering an appetizer meal, and then finishing it for breakfast the next morning.
I remember the way that the Vickers freezer looked, and reminded me of a place you would hide a body. (randommmm)
I remember Laura coming in my room and waking me up to tell me all about her night, and how awesome it was, and what a good time she had had.
I remember on first Sundays after meeting, I would RUN back to my room, and just chill in there and be antisocial.
I remember the way my fan made that wierd clunky noise, but it helped me sleep.
I remember this random night that Rebecca stayed at our house, and i worked on Drivers Ed.
I remember the way Lauras hair always looked a little goofy when she had just woken up, and she always had a coffee cup, and a bowl for cereal, and a spoon.
The wierdest thing i remember though is the feeling right before i left. i felt like i was on top of the world. life was so good, and in the pictures, i am just about to smile my face off.
And the wierd thing is, i dont really miss it. I mean i miss it, its just like a story to me. I keep forgetting, and its bad.
Life here though, is good. And no doubt about it, i love it.
i just miss remembering.
but somethings are good to forget haha.
